An international survey on the use of e-mail shows New Zealand executives are spending nearly two hours a day sending and receiving messages.
Executives spent an average of 112 minutes a day on e-mail, only 16 minutes less than they spent in face-to-face meetings.
But the study, by Rogen International and Goldhaber Research Associates, concludes it is a myth that e-mail has reduced the amount of personal communication required at work.
