Dow Jones appeals against defamation ruling

Dow Jones has appealed against a court ruling giving an Australian mining magnate the right to sue for defamation under Australian law over an article published in the United States and posted on the internet.

The landmark ruling could have wide-ranging implications for publishers and internet sites which post articles in the 190 nations that allow defamation cases.
