Google has picked its top ten local FIFA World Cup 'Doodle' entries to go to an online vote.
The search giant asked Kiwi kids aged between four and 17 to design soccer-inspired Google logos with the theme 'I love football'.
Now the hundreds of entries have been whittled down to ten 'Doodles'.
The design that receives the most votes at www.google.co.nz/doodle4google will be displayed on Google's New Zealand homepage on June 15, as the All Whites tackle Slovakia in their first World Cup fixture.
It will then be entered in the global competition, with voters from around the world picking the overall winner, which will be displayed on the Google homepage of all participating countries for a full day in July.
While the competition is the first-ever international Doodle 4 Google competition, it's the second time Kiwis have had the chance to design their own Google Doodle after a similar contest late last year.
