An American appeals court has reinstated a Xerox patent-infringement lawsuit against 3Com Palm and US Robotics over handwriting- recognition software.
Xerox is suing the companies over Palm's Graffiti software, which requires a series of shorthand strokes to enter data. A federal judge in Rochester, New York, had previously dismissed the suit.
