Taiwan microchip designer Via Technologies will contest a patent infringement lawsuit by semiconductor giant Intel and has urged the US firm to stop "illegal interference" with its clients. In a US District Court in Delaware, Intel accused Via, the world No 2 chipset manufacturer, of violating five Intel patents.
