KEY POINTS:
Apple has released the first update for its new Leopard operating system.
The 110MB OS X 10.5.1 update can be downloaded directly from Apple's website, or through the 'Software Update' feature.
The company has released a lot of detail on the update, which includes fixes for everything from the way the Finder copes with moving files to external hard drives, to how Apple's proprietary Mail application works and a few behavioural fixes for the Time Machine back up utility.
Those running their Macs in a multi operating system environment will be pleased to know that the bug which cause shared folders on SMB-connected Windows machines to appear as read-only has been fixed.
