Mobile network newcomer 2degrees has not yet managed to solve its website dramas since its launch earlier this week.
Portions of the company's website are still down, due to the volume of traffic it had to cope with it since the network went live, according to corporate communications head Bryony Hilless.
She said the 2degrees tech team are still working to resolve the problem.
"It happened because of the volume of hits the site had in such a short time," she told nzherald.co.nz.
"We've narrowed it down and hope to have the issue resolved shortly."
Problems with the site first came to light overnight on Tuesday when new customers signing onto the 2degrees network were shown others' personal details.
One customer emailed nzherald.co.nz saying "When I signed up I saw the details of another customer. "Initially I thought it was an example but on reflection it was another customer's details. The rates and products they have are great but this is a very serious privacy breach."
On Wednesday, 2degrees released a statement admitting to a bug in the Your 2degrees and Online Store sections of the website, which are still not back online.
It said that less than 100 people were given other customers' details as a result of the glitch.
Hilless denies that the online dramas are already costing the network customers, saying it only affects those wishing to port existing numbers to 2degrees - other tasks can still be carried out offline.
2degrees has made a concerted effort to attack Vodafone's lucrative hold on the pre-paid market with relatively sharp pricing aimed at lower-end customers.
A massive 70% of Vodafone's customer base is on prepay plans, giving it approximately 60% of total prepay market share.
