Stratford High School vs Taita College
Having billeted and fed the Taita boys we all knew they were hungry for success on the rugby field as well.
Their forward pack was of considerable size and we were all hoping their centre had the wrong number on his jersey, turns out the one was supposed to be in front of the three.
The High School boys weren't going to let that worry them as they tackled in pairs and the bigger they are the harder they fall this started to let us get into the game. Taita pushed over for three tries, unconverted Stratford High School played smart picking up 2 penalties and running in 2 tries to Michael and Mathew in the backs with Nick converting 20-15 to win. A big effort by the whole team with plenty of bumps and bruises to show for it.
