A commercial truck driver was pulled over in Stratford, Taranaki this morning at about 6.30am.
The driver was breath-tested at the scene, and returned a result of 334mcg of alcohol per litre of breath. The legal alcohol limit is 250mcg.
A police spokesperson confirms the man was then forbidden to drive by police.
The truck was pulled over on SH3 at the north end of Stratford near the Caltex service station. The police spokesperson says the man's employer was notified and collected the truck from Stratford a short time after.
