CMK Stratford Premiers took on Tukapa for their fourth game of the season.
Tukapa took an early 7-0 lead and the score stayed like that for the first 25 minutes.
The game got away from Stratford with Tukapa running in three quick tries to lead 28-0. Stratford managed to score just before the break with some quick hands, ending with flying winger Samisoni Nadole touching down in the corner. Half time score 28-5.
With the wind at their backs, Stratford started the second half a lot more positive and were rewarded with some good play, with a try to skipper Nick Childs to close the gap to 28-12.
A break out from own half nearly had Stratford in again, only to be shut down by some cynical play from Tukapa. With their player heading to the sin bin, Stratford chose to tap the ball only to turn it over.
