Three exhibitions opened at the Percy Thomson Gallery on Monday evening.
Ross Nolly's photography exhibition is called a beautiful faraway land called home, something that many of servicemen and women honoured in the 100 Years Centennial WW1 exhibit by the Stratford Genealogy Society would doubtless have dreamt of during their time far away from their homes and loved ones.
Introducing the Genealogy Society's exhibit, Carol Spragg said that it is important that the younger generation understand and respect the memorials that Stratford has to those service people.
With work by junior and intermediate school students from St Joseph's on display, she added that the work showed that the next generation do respect those who came before them.
Mayor Neil Volzke also commended the students, before handing out prizes to individual students for their work.
