Tamsin Burt, who represented the New Zealand Running Acadamy in California in April, says she couldn't have got there without the support of several people and groups in the community.
She received a grant from Taranaki Electricity Trust, a huge help in getting her on her way.
She was also given generous contributions by Z Stratford, JC and MJ Hurely Ltd, Daryl and Teneka Uhlenberg and the Stratford Lions Club.
