Trevor Rowe has more than 2000 flowers in his garden at Maryann Rest Home and Hospital, "but my favourite is by far the sunflowers". The 93-year-old Maryann resident says he has had a love of gardening for as long as he can remember. "It is very satisfying to see the garden grow and it is a great feeling to see the success of the flowers." Esther Malone, activities co-ordinator at Maryann, says Trevor's flourishing garden is enjoyed by all the residents of the rest home. "Trevor takes very particular care of his garden and chooses which flowers he plants very carefully."
