Several St Mary's Diocesan students recently sat Speech New Zealand examinations in speech and drama.
Examiner Peggy Lehmann from Wellington rewarded the girls with outstanding results. Under the tutorage of Tracey Blake, the girls have been learning performance skills in acting, poetry speaking, reading and public speaking, as well as learning a love of literature, theatre and theoretical elements of the actor and their voice.
Results: Bree-Anna Langton, Associate Diploma of Performance (ASB): Module one, Distinction; module two, Pass (students only ever receive a pass or fail at this level which is the equivalent of a first-year university degree).
