It's 68 sleeps until Christmas!
With advent calendars and Christmas decorations already appearing in shops, Christmas is just around the corner, so it is no surprise planning is already well underway for the 2017 Stratford Christmas Parade, organised by the Stratford Business Association (SBA).
SBA chairman says this year's theme decided by the committee is Lights, Camera, Christmas ... to coincide with the TET Kings Theatre centenary.
This year the parade will be held on the evening of Friday, December 1 with a Christmas carnival in Prospero Place taking place the same evening.
Peter says the evening will include market stalls, food carts, entertainment and the formal lighting of the Christmas tree as well as the parade. He adds the committee hope local shops will also remain open for late night shopping on the evening.
"We have gone up a gear with the Christmas Parade combining with late night shopping and a twilight market this year. We are confident this is a winning recipe for the whole community to enjoy and participate in the festivities."
