The unique sounds of the Taranaki Male Choir and guest performers, women's acapella group "la Te Doh' will be emanating from the Eltham Town Hall on Sunday, October 29 at 1.30pm for a special concert.
Their repertoire will include folk, spiritual, traditional and show songs and well known entertainer, John Ainsworth, is the compere and vocalist for the afternoon.
The Taranaki Male Choir was formed in 2002 in response to a request from the Taranaki Welsh Society for a regional male choir to perform in the sixth National 'Cymanfu Ganu' held at St Mary's Pro Cathedral. Since its formation, the choir has performed throughout Taranaki and has taken part in the National Male Choirs' Festival held in 2004.
The Taranaki Male Choir will also be presenting a special concert entitled 'It's a Grand Night for Singing' at the Theatre Royal at the TSB Showplace in New Plymouth on Saturday, November 4 from 7.30pm.
The award-winning North Shore Ladies' Choir are the special performing guests for the evening.
Since its early beginnings, the Taranaki Male Choir has grown to be well received and is in demand. Contact the Musical Director on (06) 758 9335 or the Choir President on (06) 757 9622 for more information.
