Director of Assets Sven Hanne says Stratford District Council are grateful to the primary schools in the serviced areas for helping out with the delivery of the new crates.
Schools involved will receive a donation to their school funds as payment for their help, and Sven says all households in the serviced areas should have received their crate by now. "If you haven't, please call our service centre on 06 765 6099 and let us know."
Sven reminds householders that the new rubbish and recycling service begins on Monday, October 5, with all rubbish collected that day, and one of the two recycling bins dependant on which zone your property falls into. A map of the zones and a collection timetable is in this week's Central Link in the Stratford Press.
