A group of Inglewood High School students brought fire to the kitchen at the NZCA Taranaki Wanganui Hospitality Competition last week.
All competitors start with 100 marks, with points then deducted for a range of identified non-compliance. Judged components include hygiene, underdone or overdone food, missing ingredients, not sticking to the recipe provided, taste and seasoning.
The students from Inglewood High School did a fantastic job says their home Economics teacher, Michael Wood.
The school is very proud and we all look forward to the competition again next year.
Results: Bronze medal 70-79 marks, silver 80-89 marks, gold 90-99 marks.
