Three of Stratford Primary School's house captains, Toni Cameron, Dilan Roberston and Tarin Nicholls, visited Midhirst School with a heartfelt gesture earlier this month.
The pupils were delivering a donation to the family of Campbell Robertson. Campbell is a Midhirst School pupil who is undergoing chemotherapy at Starship Hospital.
The donation of $772 was raised through a barbecue held by the pupils at their recent Olympics day. Deputy principal Aaron Moore says the senior pupils of the school organised the Olympics day and also came up with the fundraising idea.
"After reading articles about Campbell in the Stratford Press the students wanted to do their bit to help his family."
Bailee, Campbell's sister, was at school on Wednesday to receive the donation on behalf of the family.
