There will be plenty of thrills but hopefully no spills when the competitors of the Westend Hire Stratford Street Sprint race into town on Sunday.
Hosted by the South Taranaki Car Club, the Westend Hire Stratford Street Sprint will be celebrating its 26th event on Sunday from 10am to 3pm.
Modified cars complete timed laps of a course in what Helen Cameron, secretary for the event, describes as a family event.
"We will also have an invitation-only drifting demonstration along with a demonstration lap being ridden on classic motorbikes by members of Club X in Stratford."
The event is gold coin entry, serving as a fundraiser for Stratford High School boys and girls hockey teams. Helen says the organisers are grateful to all the sponsors and look forward to a great family day out on Sunday.
