Taranaki will be well represented at the Trans-Tasman Challenge hockey tournament later this year, with three local players selected to represent the country in the masters competition.
Grant Boyde, Adrian Lobb and Alan Bunning have all been selected to take the turf in the New Zealand at Whangarei later this year.
"Ten years ago masters grade was a bit of a giggle and a hit around, but now days its a very serious competition and an achievement to be selected," says Alan.
The trio's members have all represented New Zealand before at the Trans-Tasman Challenge hockey tournament and are thrilled to have been selected again for 2017.
"There were close to 30 players trialling for our team, including ex international players so it's a huge honour to be chosen," says Grant.
