The Central Taranaki Safe Community Trust is visiting primary schools in the area throughout the year delivering some delicious morning teas along with an important message.
Community projects officer for the trust, Hannah Shepherd, says the "Safe Friends Luncheon" project aims to reach more than 850 children in Years 4 to 8.
"The Safe Friends Luncheon targets cyber bullying and teaches children what cyber bullying actually is. It teaches them how to be safe online and what to do if they, or someone they know, is being bullied."
The message comes with a delivery of morning or afternoon tea thanks to Subway Stratford.
Hannah says owner operator of Subway Stratford, Jackie Wood, has signed up as the main sponsor of the programme and the store will provide the morning or afternoon teas for each child.
