Stratford High School announced its school leaders at an assembly on Friday afternoon. Principal Philip Keenan says "we had a tough decision this year as there are so many senior students with leadership qualities, I am looking forward seeing these students getting involved within the school this year".
Head students Kody Simpson and Georgia Gavin both had becoming a senior leader as part of their Potama goal setting within the school.
" I saw being a leader as a great opportunity to give back to the school and help to make Stratford High a better place over all," Kody says. "This year's leadership team is exciting because we all have a similar vision as to how the school will be when we leave. This means we will get a great deal done as a team."
Georgia agrees. "I want to help lead Stratford High to be the best school it can be within itself and the community."
The eight student leaders will attend a young leaders conference in Wellington later this year.
