Ethan Lehmann then finally deflected another penalty corner in to have Stratford leading 2-0. Curtis added to the score with a sweet tomahawk into the right corner of the goal to have a good 3-0 lead at half time.
Another strong defensive game from Stratford's Kieran Harrison kept Stratford always stretching Northern's defence. Good midfield supply of ball to the strikers lead to Curtis nailing his third goal of the game, before A Team newcomer Jordan Anderson sneaked another goal through.
It was not long before man of the match Curtis Boyde secured his fourth goal of the game for the final score of 6-0 win.
Matthew & Co Real Estate Stratford B Woman played New Plymouth Girls High School in New Plymouth. It was a tough game right from the beginning with so much water been on the turf, making it hard to get the ball through to their goal.
The girls played well, learning new skills. Player of the day went to Magui Trapaglia, who played outstandingly at the back on defence.
CMK Accountants Stratford A Women came up against Masters in New Plymouth. Stratford went out hard from the first whistle.
Stratford continued attacking the opposition's goal. Masters threatened a few times with the Stratford defence line keeping them in control. Stratford ended up running away with a 12-1 win.
Goal scorers were Isabel Jury, Grace Robertson, Jemma Prankerd, Penny Stark, Harina Rupapera, Lana Stosic (2) and Lara Williams (5). Player of the day went to Eloise Laroche in her first game for the team.
CMK Accountants Avon played New Plymouth United Black on Sunday in New Plymouth. United looked like a strong team, and once underway the game was under their control with Avon struggling to interrupt them, only putting real pressure on United five or six times throughout the whole game.
Avon kept their spirit and tried different combinations with some of their newest players in positions for the first time. Final score Avon 0 United Black 14. Avon player of the day Tom Butler.
Le Dejeuner Catering Stratford Broadway played their second game of the season against New Plymouth Boys High School 2nd XI. Broadway opened up the score with strong attacking play, resulting in well-fought goals.
Broadway played a strong game, putting pressure throughout, and defended Boys High's many breakaway attacks well to win the game at 5-0.
