The love of the game was apparent when more than 1000 spectators turned up as Stratford took on Inglewood on Saturday.
In the final few minutes the Stratford team had everyone yelling as they fought to get the ball over the line against a strong Inglewood defence.
While the end result gave the visitors the match at 27-21, the weekend belonged to the Stratford team, celebrating its 125th jubilee.
Mike O'Neil, chairman of the Stratford Rugby and Sports Club Jubilee Committee, says the players are "the heart of the club, and who we are all here for" and they certainly put their hearts and souls into the game to the delight of all those watching.
While Shane Wheeler was named man of the match, every member of the Stratford team proved their worth in the closely fought match.
