At the age of 20, Morgan Hancock is the youngest artist to have work on display in Homework at Puke Ariki.
"Exhibitions like this are great because it isn't about your age or your experience, it is about the art you have submitted, so you are judged on that alone."
Morgan, whose parents have a dairy farm on Pembroke Road, works as a graphic designer for eyeprint in New Plymouth.
"I have always been halfway between fine arts and graphic design when it comes to my work," she says, adding that she has a particular interest in street art and fashion-inspired art.
As the technological world changes around us, Morgan says she feels social media and technology have greatly impacted the artistic world. "People are able to express themselves a lot more using different media now. I can share my work not just in a gallery, but on Instagram and Facebook and get an immediate personal response from people all around the world."
