Students from all around the region were invited to Taratahi Taranaki's Taster Day held at the Stratford Demonstration Farm on Friday morning.
Every year Taratahi Taranaki organises a Taster Day for school students during the Easter, July and October holidays.
Grant Kobus, project manager for Taratahi Taranaki, says this is just a one day experience for the students with a focus on agriculture and what happens on a farm.
"The idea of the day is to get the students to realise what is involved in agriculture and the opportunities there are in this sector of the economy".
Grant says the day is spent on a working dairy farm and includes milking, riding motorbikes, tractor driving, fencing, assembling a water trough, games and quizzes. "It is a great way to see show the students some of the things that Taratahi courses have to offer and is also a really fun day for those involved."
