A former Taranaki business association treasurer has pleaded guilty to taking $25,000 in cheques for personal use.
A plea of guilty was entered at Hawera District Court today by Cushla Ann Fevre, 41, of Hawera when she appeared before Judge Garry Barkle.
Fevre - formerly employed as the treasurer of Bizlink Hawera (the Hawera Business Association) - pleaded guilty to the charge of using a document for pecuniary advantage.
The document in question was cheques intended for the use of Biz link which Fevre used for personal use.
The summary of facts stated Fevre had, between December 18 last year and September 6 this year, cashed cheques putting payments into her personal account.
