Staff at Stratford District Council wore red and black for a themed mufti day last Friday, after a challenge was issued by their counterparts at New Plymouth District Council. The challenge, to councils across the country, was to wear black and red mufti and raise money for the Kaikoura District Council Earthquake Relief Fund. Kate Whareaitu, director of community development at Stratford District Council, says everyone got on board with the challenge, with a total of $240.70 raised by the Stratford District Council team.
Challenge accepted!
