"It's quite overwhelming because of the value of these dresses. It's extremely generous and will be a great help."
Stratford on Stage will open for two open days so the dresses can be tried on and purchased for schools balls or other formal events. Those that do not sell may be used at a fashion show or sold online.
Glennys says the dresses are beautiful and there was a wide variety including some wedding dresses. The styles ranged from sleek and elegant to bold designs with ruffles and there are dresses in many colours from green, purple, pink, red, yellow, black, white and pastels.
"They are all beautiful. It will be great to see them worn."
The public is welcome to try and buy the dresses at The Castle — Stratford on Stage, Regan St, on July 8, 10am-3pm and July 14 between 10am-4pm.
