First birth at the maternity unit since it came under new management:
Jasmine Anita Wilson. Born: Wednesday, July 2, 7lbs1.5oz.
"Jasmine was a name we both loved, it was the name of the princess in Aladdin and it certainly suits her."
Aroha and Jacob Wilson are enjoying getting to know their first child.
Jasmine's middle name is a family name from Aroha's side of the family. "It was my Dad's Mum's name, and also my aunt's name, so it feels right to use it as Jasmine's middle name."
Aroha says that one of the first things they noticed about their newborn daughter were her eyes. "She has really beautiful eyes and seems to look right at us, as though she already knows us, plus her hair, she has so much hair, it is just lovely."
