It's a good day, folks, because the next instalment of "Yao Ming makes regular sized celebrities look tiny" has arrived.

We're not banking on the premise delivering us a Netflix special any time soon, but it's still plenty of fun to look at the former NBA star completely dwarf people, giving them a taste of what it's like to have small-man syndrome.

Ming, the 2.3m man mountain who was an eight-time NBA All-Star during his near decade-long career with the Houston Rockets, has history in the department. He's been snapped looking down on tennis stars Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic and 1.95m NFL defensive end JJ Watt.

Hell, Ming even put Shaquille O'Neal in his place — but we reckon the biggest joke was on actor Kevin Hart in this one.

And the Chinese superstar is back at it, this time towering over NBA star Kevin Love.

Love, the Cleveland Cavaliers power forward who stands nearly 2.1m tall, looked miniscule next to Ying in this picture he posted on Instagram.

Ming enjoyed a famous rivalry with O'Neal and the Hall of Famer is proud to be mentioned in the same breath as the NBA icon, especially after the challenges he faced coming to America from China, but he was careful to make sure his fame in the land of stars and stripes never got to his head.

"I felt pressure as it's a ground undiscovered for me and you don't know what waits out there (in the NBA), especially when you don't speak English back then," Yao said in a CNBC profile last month.

"It's an accomplishment for me, for somebody to call me as a rival to him (O'Neal), you know, he has no comparison in basketball history.

"Popularity comes after you finish work. Never let popularity distract you."

Meanwhile, Love will turn from posing for happy snaps to facing old teammates when Cleveland comes up against the Los Angeles Lakers on November 21.

The NBA released its complete regular season schedule on Saturday, two days after announcing the league's national TV schedule. The November 21 clash will pit superstar LeBron James against his old franchise for the first time wearing Lakers colours.

James dropped the biggest bombshell of the NBA off-season when the free agent opted to leave Cleveland and head to the Western Conference, signing a four-year deal with LA worth approximately $AUD208 million.
