Two members of the New Zealand sailing team secured podium positions at the conclusion of the Semaine Olympique Francaise world cup regatta in Hyeres, France overnight.
Andy Maloney finished with a silver medal and Olympics-bound Andrew Murdoch bronze, both in the laser, after the final medal races were sailed in extremely strong winds.
Maloney had a fantastic finish to his regatta, finishing second both in the medal race and overall class standings to Philipp Buhl of Germany.
Australian Tom Slingsby, who previously led the regatta, broke his mast during the medal race allowing Murdoch's fifth place to earn third overall.
Dan Slater's fifth place finish in the medal race in the finn class saw him remain in fifth place overall, while Matt Coutts placed eighth in the final race and ninth overall.
