Team New Zealand wheeled their AC72 catamaran out of the shed the first time this morning and attached their wingsail which is bigger than the wing of a Boeing 747.
It was the culmination of 18 months' work and done before Saturday's public show at the Viaduct Harbour and next week's planned first sail.
Even though the designers engineers and shore crew would have preferred to keep the AC72 under wraps for a few more days while cosmetic work is completed there, was no hiding it.
