New Zealand yachtsman Dan Slater slipped smoothly into contention at the Finn world championships in Denmark this morning after recording a third and a fifth on day two.
The results saw Slater, who won the silver medal last year, zoom up the overall standings to third from 11th after the opening day.
America's Zach Riley leads after four races, eight points clear of Britain's Giles Scott. Slater is six points further adrift.
There are three more days of racing before the medal round at the weekend.
