New Zealanders Jo Aleh and Olivia Powrie have got their French Olympic Sailing week at Hyeres off to a good start to sit second overall after yesterday's opening race in the women's 470 event.
Andrew Murdoch is 10th in the laser fleet while Wellington's Josh Junior has slipped to 23rd after winning the opening race.
Sara Winther gained a fourth place in race one of the laser radial.
She went on to record a 13th in the second race and holds 13th overall in the 80-boat fleet.
