New Zealand has won gold and silver in the youth sailing world championships in Istanbul
Thomas Saunders of Tauranga has won in the largest fleet at the event, the hotly contested 50 boat boys Laser Radial class.
The likes of Russell Coutts and Dean Barker have previously won the class at youth level.
Alexandra Maloney and Sam Bullock have won silver in the Open 29er skiff class.
