KEY POINTS:
Kerikeri sailor Andrew Murdoch was the best performed New Zealander as he retained third place in the Laser competition on the second day of the French Olympic Sailing Week regatta off Hyeres this week.
Jo Aleh had a solid day in the Laser Radial yesterday, as did Carl Evans and Peter Burling in the 470.
The Tornado crew of Aaron McIntosh and Mark Kennedy improved in the overall standings but Dan Slater in the Finn competition slipped to eighth.
Murdoch remained third with a sixth in race three before winning race four, putting him just one point adrift of Michael Leigh of Canada in second place. Evans and Burling fell from fifth to seventh overall after a handling error.
