New Zealand sailors Hamish Pepper and Carl Williams slipped to sixth on the final day of the Star world championship off Miami yesterday. The Olympic-bound New Zealand crew could manage only 19th in the sixth race on Biscayne Bay to drop two places after starting the day within sight of the bronze medal.
The 2006 champions finished with 51 points, well behind the 14 by winners Mateusz Kusznierewicz and Dominik Zycki of Poland.
