Innovation Explorer continues to make up ground on The Race leader Club Med as the giant catamarans sail through the Pacific Ocean south-east of New Zealand.
Innovation has been the faster of the two giant catamarans over the last 24 hours and is around 660 nautical miles (1,200 kms) behind the leader.
Club Med, skippered by Grant Dalton, has less than 9,500 nautical miles (17,600 kms) to the finish line in
the western Mediterranean Sea.
Third placed Team Adventure is struggling off the southern coast of Australia, 4,700 nautical miles off the pace and still a long way from Cook Strait.
