KEY POINTS:
Line honours in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race should be a battle between three super maxis when it gets under way Boxing Day.
Thirty metre yachts Skandia, defending champion Wild Oats XI and New Zealand's Maximus are the favourites.
Maximus co-owner and captain Charles Brown said being first into Hobart was the main goal, ahead of the overall title.
Brown said they would like to win both, but that line honours was the ultimate goal.
He said it would be a tight race as there were three identical length super maxis that would all be be very competitive.
The current race record was set last year by Wild Oats XI, which crossed the line in a time of 1 day, 18 hours, 40 minutes and 10 seconds.
