Yachting: Club Med still over 900 nautical miles in front

The Northern Hemisphere beckons Club Med at the head of the fleet in the non-stop round-the-world yacht race.

The Grant Dalton skippered catamaran is barreling along at an average speed of over 20 knots in the south east trade winds of the Atlantic Ocean, with less than 800 nautical miles between her and the equator.

Second placed Innovation Explorer is still over 900 miles back in second place while Warta-Polpharma is over 6,600 miles off the pace in third.
