Yachting: Club Med extends lead in The Race

Club Med has picked up the pace again in the non-stop round-the-world yacht race as it heads into the trade winds of the South Atlantic.

The Grant Dalton skippered catamaran is averaging over 17 knots, and has extended its lead over second placed Innovation Explorer to 926 nautical miles.

Club Med is now just over 4,400 miles from the finish line in Marseilles.

Warta Popharma lies in third place, Team Adventure fourth and Team Legato fifth.
