The 49er crew of Peter Burling and Blair Tuke produced another strong display of racing overnight to take a further step towards defending their World Sailing Championships title in Spain.
The pair won two of the day's three races before being disqualified in the third to sit top of the standings, 24 points clear of their Australian rivals with two days of racing left.
However, Alex Maloney and Molly Meech's hopes of retaining their world title in the 49erFX class appear over after they finished the day in 11th position, 51 points off the pace.
The women's 470 pair of Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie relinquished their lead to an Austrian crew ahead of tomorrow's medal races.
Aleh and Powrie posted a third and fifth on the penultimate day of racing, but trail by just a point.
