Mike Sanderson's ABN Amro One was expected to reach Melbourne in the next 24 hours, for their second win in the round-the-world race.
Last night ABN Amro One was 53 nautical miles ahead of teammate ABN Amro Two. Movistar was third, 172 miles back, and Pirates of the Caribbean fourth.
Brasil 1, in sixth place behind Brunel, broke their rig on Wednesday night and have about 1352 miles to Fremantle and 1340 to Eclipse Island. They plan to score any available points before they repair or replace the mast and carry on.
