ABN Amro One extended its lead atop the round-the-world race standings yesterday, finishing more than two minutes ahead of second-place Pirates of the Caribbean.
The Dutch boat, skippered by New Zealander Mike Sanderson, finished the short in-port race in 2h 14m 16s to earn 3 1/2 points and give it a commanding lead at 84 1/2.
Pirates of the Caribbean was second and Brasil 1 third.
The penultimate leg is a 2414km journey from Portsmouth to Rotterdam starting on Friday night.
