Former Formula One driver Mark Webber remains under observation in a Brazilian hospital after sustaining a concussion in an endurance race.
FIA reported that Webber was in "satisfactory" condition on Monday, a day after his Porsche crashed hard into a wall in a World Endurance Championship race at the Interlagos track in Sao Paulo.
The 38-year-old Webber said on his official website that he was "quite sore," ''pretty bruised" and with a "stinking headache." He said he has "no recollection of the accident" that happened near the end of the six-hour race.
FIA said the "dramatic accident" happened after a collision between Webber's Porsche and the Ferrari of Matteo Cressoni entering the front straight at Interlagos.
Webber's site said the Australian driver is expected to leave Brazil "later this week."
