Water polo: NZ beaten by Brazil

New Zealand will play off for 11th and 12th places against Germany in the women's section of the world water polo champs in Melbourne after losing 14-7 to Brazil yesterday.

Brazil's better accuracy in front of goal paid off, after New Zealand began strongly.

New Zealand centre back Amy Logan said the team had not played well for an entire match throughout the tournament. "We were definitely closer to Brazil than the scoreboard showed," she said.
