An American powerlifter has recorded one of the most impressive world records in weightlifting history.
Competing for Team USA at 2016 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships in Texas, Ray Williams set a world record squat of 438 kgs (965.6lbs).
The manner which he did it in was the most stunning, leading one commentator to say he has "single-handedly obliterated a world record and a weight class".
The former American football player and now defensive lineman coach was participating in the super heavyweights class, and extended his world record by 11.5 kgs.
Powerlifting experts and fans alike were stunned by his display of strength.
