Australian motor racer Matt Turnbull had to make a quick escape from his vehicle while competing in the Australian GT Trophy in Winton, as the inside of his Lamborghini Gallarado caught fire during his race.
The blaze broke out in the cabin of the vehicle in the opening lap for Race 1.
Unharmed from the incident, Turnbull and his team managed to get the car back on the race track for Race 2, coming in at sixth place.
The irony surrounding the mid-race blaze is that Turnbull's Lamborghini races in the colours of his company Fire Racing Solutions, a company that installs fire protection systems in commercial buildings.
